Kylie Minogue - Most Photogenic Celebrity

London (ANI): When it comes to facing the camera, celebrities like Kylie Minogue, Brad Pitt and Kate Moss all have one thing in common - they never fail to look their best. However, the one who almost never fails to put the right foot forward is pop princess Kylie Minogue. The Aussie singer was named the 'Most Photogenic Celebrity,' in a new survey by Samsung cameras. She was followed by Hollywood heartthrob George Clooney, who landed the second spot on the list, reports the Daily Express. Third on the list was actor Brad Pitt while former Spice Girls star Victoria Beckham fourth. Rounding off the top five was Elizabeth Hurley.

LASZLO GARDONY

Dig Deep (Sunnyside): B

Boston-based pianist Gardony doesn’t do straight-ahead piano trio. With bassist John Lockwood and drummer Yoron Israel, his is among the city’s top trios. But Gardony eschews the standard repertoire and instead draws moods from rock, blues and gospel, shuffles the deck with offbeat time signatures, and feasts on the groove. Though his approach sometimes shortchanges melody, it’s hard to complain about a luscious tune such as “Sunday Afternoon,” which is the hands-down track to download. (Appearing Tuesday at the Regattabar, Cambridge.)

Stevie Wonder calls Barack Obama 'a cross between JFK and Martin Luther King'

Stevie Wonder had words of praise for Barack Obama and Amy Winehouse as he launched his European tour in London today with an intimate show (June 5).

The superstar, who

Asked what he thought of Democratic US presidential nominee Obama, Wonder said: "He's a combination of JFK [John F Kennedy, former US President, assassinated in 1963], and Martin Luther King. With that he can't lose."

Later, when asked what he thought about Winehouse, Wonder admitted: "She reminds me of a young Etta James. 'Rehab' is a very good song. The CD ['Back To Black'] was good, my daughter turned me onto it."

The star then went on to play a short set, although the opening 'Signed, Sealed, Delivered' ground to a halt due to technical problems.

Wonder took requests, the majority of which were for 'Superstition', which he closed the eight-song set with.

Stevie Wonder played:

'Signed, Sealed, Delivered'
'It Ain't No Use'
'Bird Of Beauty'
'Higher Ground'
'Happy Birthday'
'All I Do'
'Masterblaster (Jammin')'
'Superstition'

Cruise Film To Compete With German Original

It now turns out that the Tom Cruise starrer Valkyrie, about the World War II "general's plot" to assassinate Adolf Hitler, may have competition from an award-winning German movie based on the same subject. Rights to the German film, Operation Valkyrie, directed by Jo Baier, have been acquired by The Weinstein Co., it was announced Tuesday. The film, originally titled Stauffenberg, the name of the Nazi colonel who led the assassination plot (played by Cruise in his film for United Artists), won The German Television Award for the best movie made for German television in 2004.

Stars pay tribute to Heath Ledger

Jack Nicholson and co-star Morgan Freeman paid tribute to the late actor Heath Ledger at their new film 'The Bucket List's London premiere last night.
The tragic premature death of the Australian 'Dark Knight' and 'Brokeback Mountain' star dominated the evening.
Freeman said: "It's a great loss to the industry. He was an enormous movie talent. It sounds like a tragic accident."
Post-mortem tests on the 28-year-old were inconclusive but speculation has mounted that he died from an accidental overdose of sleeping pills.
He recently admitted taking the prescription drug Ambien to combat insomnia.
'The Bucket List's director Rob Reiner added: "It's unbelievably sad. I directed a film ('Stand by Me') with River Phoenix. He also died at a young age. It's so tragic when someone dies at that age, for life to be cut short."
Asked about Ledger's death, Nicholson said: "Wasn't that horrible."
Reports have suggested that Ledger may have found playing the Joker role in the new Batman film too much, and that the part left him unable to sleep.
But asked about the role, which Nicholson also played, the veteran star simply said: "Oh the Joker role..."
Ledger was found dead with pills near his body at his New York apartment on Tuesday.

Scooby Doo - Scooby Doo Goes Back In Time With New Cast

The hunt is on to find the new SCOOBY DOO movie crew for a third live action feature film installment of the beloved cartoon series.

The Flintstones in Viva Rock Vegas director Brian Levant will take charge of the new film but he'll be without Hollywood couple Sarah Michelle Gellar and Freddie Prize Jr. and the stars of the first two films.

Instead, Levant plans to turn back time on the characters Fred, Daphne, Velma and Shaggy - and turn the sequel into a made-for-TV prequel.

In the new picture, the Scooby crew will be school classmates.

Website MovieHole.net reports Levant is looking for a class of unknown child actors to play the leads, who team up to solve their first mystery.
